Yes, I was at the Mark Knopfler concert in Bombay on Saturday. And, yes, he was just too far away! Got a glimpse of him on stage for about 30 seconds :(
He played for about two hours and his guitar work was as cool and effortless as always.
As expected, his Dire Straits tracks were most appreciated. I must say, Dire Straits beats a solo Mark Knopfler any day! I haven't heard any of his solo albums, but based on what he played here on Saturday, I don't think I'll be exactly dying to buy those albums. The tracks were more country/folk/blues influenced... not my style.
Dire Straits is Dire Straits is Dire Straits...and it still rocks!!!

Yeah...sad....I too barely got a look at him and the two display screens were badly positioned ! At least they could have installed them a little higher up...(but then if they did that , few would have bought the exorbitantly priced tickets up ahead)...Money for Nothing :-(
