I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 recently. I know, I know- it's a bit late in life to be watching it, but the point is, I did watch it finally. And was appalled.
Not that I didn't know before watching it that Bush was brainless and a warmonger like his father.
Or that the invasion of Afghanistan and then Iraq was totally wrong.
Or that the government was thriving on a nation of paranoid citizens and constantly fuelled that paranoia with propaganda.
I knew all this. But the movie revealed much more and was shocking, to say the least.
For the life of me, I simply cannot imagine how the people who inhabit the Land of the Free could take this lying down- the very same people who sue over the temperature of coffee in their takeaway cofee cup.
How the very same people who preach human rights could accept their nation invading another for absolutely no reason at all, except for the fact that the Bush family profited out of it.
How a great country that stood for freedom is reduced to nothing more than a bully.
The only question I had after watching the film was, how could America re-elect a complete idiot and war criminal? That is something I cannot answer...or even attempt to guess...

Just goes on to show that there is a Fool's Paradise to the West of India.
Well it's not like a lot of us (~48%) didn't try to get rid of him...
*sigh*
