Just finished reading The Da Vinci Code. It was a reasonably good story, but not much more. I experienced a bit of deja vu while reading the part about the Temple Church off Fleet Street. I distinctly remember reading something exactly like that before. I can't seem to put my finger on it... was it Jack Higgins? Or Ludlum?
All in all, the book doesn't live up th the hype generated. I wouldn't want to read it again.
And as for John Grisham's Bleachers- extremely pathetic. Why didn't he stick to courtroom drama? His early books were really something...he's been on the downslide ever since.
Another overrated book is The Catcher in the Rye. I didn't even read the whole thing- it was that bad.
Give me Exodus to read again and I'd be happy.
